The Centre for Human Bioarchaeology and Palaeogenetics at the Translational Health Research Institute, Faculty of Medicine, Vilnius University, organised a lecture „North Pontic crossroads: Mobility in Ukraine from the Bronze Age to the early modern period“ by Dr. Lehti Saag, a researcher from the Archaeogenomics Group of the Institute of Genomics, University of Tartu, and head of the Ancient DNA Laboratory. She presented the results of her and her colleagues' work on Iron Age and Medieval migrations in Ukrainian lands. Special attention was paid to the Ukrainian archaeologists who managed to preserve the ancient archaeological material and participate in the project under the conditions of war. The research was challenging, thus, the intrigue of the stunning results have been kept until the end of the lecture.
