The Centre for Human Bioarchaeology and Palaeogenetics at the Translational Health Research Institute, Faculty of Medicine, Vilnius University, organized a lecture „The HistoGenes Project: A new genetic history of the Migration Period“ by Dr. Joscha Gretzinger, a researcher from the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology.
The lecture was attended in person and online by a wide range of specialists: geneticists, archaeologists, historians, linguists and those who are interested in the studies of human past. To show how genetic research methods can help in this field, a talented young scientist presented the very imressive ERC Synergy project entitled „HistoGenes“. Scientists at the Centre for Human Bioarchaeology and Palaeogenetics are also involved in this research. The excellent team, its close ongoing collaboration as well as the ambitious goals and objectives have led to intriguing results. We invite you to listen to the recording of the lecture and hear the interpretation of the extremely important and unpublished data.
