On June 25 of this year, Rita Sketerskienė, Partnership Professor at the Department of Public Health, Institute of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Vilnius University (VU), organized a meeting between representatives of the Department of Public Health at VU’s Faculty of Medicine and the administration and staff of the Vilnius Public Health Bureau "Vilnius Healthier," including alumni from the Faculty of Medicine working at the bureau.

During the event, Prof. Rita Sketerskienė, Prof. Rimantas Stukas from the Department of Public Health, and Rūta Maceinaitė-Žandarė (PhD), along with Aurelija Šiautkulienė, Acting Director of the Vilnius Public Health Bureau, and responsible bureau staff, discussed collaboration opportunities. The goal was to achieve more effective organization of student internships, various events, educational student visits to the bureau, preparation of final theses, and other activities.

According to Partnership Professor Rita Sketerskienė, this meeting will lay the foundation for even stronger, closer, and more effective collaboration between VU’s Faculty of Medicine and the Public Health Bureau in the future. Faculty of Medicine alumni will also have the opportunity to become more actively involved in student activities.
