We invite you to a lecture by Prof. Makoto Suematsu titled "Imaging Metabolomics with Humanized Experimental Platforms from Cancer to Neurodegenerative Diseases," which will take place on June 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Red Auditorium (E122) of Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Clinics. The lecture is expected to last 1 academic hour.

Prof. Makoto Suematsu is a world-renowned scientist, the president of the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development, a member of numerous international organizations, and a member of the International Advisory Board of the Faculty of Medicine at Vilnius University (VU MF). In 2018, he was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order for Merits to Lithuania.

Prof. Makoto Suematsu heads the Central Institute for Experimental Animals in Japan. The institute's main research areas include genetics, oncology, immunology, hematological disorders, and more, making its collaboration spectrum exceptionally wide. The professor's scientific interests encompass microcirculation physiology, metabolomics, biomarkers, gas biology and medicine, rare diseases, oncology, hematology, and genetics.
