Students, who are studying chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology and medicine, are invited to participate in a competition for the Lithuanian Canadian Foundation’s Eileen and Vincent Kadis scholarships worth EUR 847. The competition is open to undergraduate, postgraduate students and full-time students in their second year or above who meet both of the following criteria

  1. The weighted average of their results in the last semester was at least 8;
  2. They are socially disadvantaged (due to financial hardship, illness or death of relatives) students in their second year or above of the first, second cycle and full-time study programmes in chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology and medicine.

Candidates should fill in the application form in the University’s Study Information System by 26 October 2022 and submit the following documents:

  1. A certificate of family composition issued by the Centre of Registers or the district authority where the student is registered;
  2. Certificates on the monthly income of their parents/guardians and the student’s own income for the last three months issued by the employer or the “Certificate of the Person’s State Social Insurance” or unemployment certificate issued by the State Social Insurance Fund Board (SODRA);
  3. Additional documents proving that the student is socially disadvantaged (copy of the disability certificate, copy of the father’s and/or mother’s death certificate, etc.);
  4. Documents proving the student’s achievements in scientific activities (if the student has carried out scientific activities).

This is a one-off scholarship and will be awarded to three disadvantaged students with the best academic results and the best research results, if any, in their studies. The scholarship amounts will be paid into the student’s personal bank account registered in the University’s Study Information System.
